Cell Sorting

Cell sorters allow the client to recover a subset of cells from a sample. Cells can be deposited into tubes or 96-well plates for further study. The Flow Cytometry lab has four sorters to choose from. Call the lab (206)667-6195 for assistance determining the instrument to use for your specific application. For clients needing after-hours access, training is available.

A good introduction to flow cytometry principles and practice is found at http://www.bdbiosciences.com/immunocytometry_systems/support/

Data from flow cytometry is transferred to the user's fred account. After you log in, you will see a folder called flowlab. Subfolders containing your data are named with the date you did the experiment.

The flow cytometry resource supports a variety of desktop software that is available to all users. See the listing of software for more information. Contact flow cytometry at 667-6195 or by emailing flowlab@fhcrc.org if you would like training in analysis software.
