Pete Gross was the official “Voice of the Seattle Seahawks” for 17 years, before losing his battle with cancer in 1992. The Pete Gross House opened in December 1999 and serves as a lasting memorial to him. Located less than half a mile from the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the House offers below-market rates for furnished apartments with shuttle service to the clinic.
Proceeds raised at the Luncheon will benefit the Family Assistance Fund supporting families staying at the Pete Gross House and others receiving treatment at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. The Family Assistance Fund was created by the Hutchinson Center to help subsidize patients who demonstrate financial need, without which many would be unable to come to Seattle to receive this life-saving treatment.
