Presented, and originally created, by the Gamma Mu Chapter of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, "Miss Greek" at the University of Washington is one of the nation's largest and most successful college philanthropic programs. Since the pageant's inception in 1986, sorority contestants vying for the crown of "Miss Greek", as well as gentlemen from the fraternity, have raised nearly $1.15 million dollars for cancer research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Contestants are judged in five categories, including: fundraising; personality/modeling; talent showcase; philanthropic address; and impromptu responses. |
*** The online donation deadline has been extended until 12pm (noon) on Sunday, April 20th. ***
