Viewing Job Postings

Click on Search for Jobs to access our Careers page. We recommend you register on our site right away to take advantage of our advanced career tools.

Search Tips

Basic Search allows you to do simple keyword searches and narrow the focus of your search by posted date. Advanced search provides additional criteria for you to use such as Location, Job Family, Full/Part time, etc. and returns selections to the extent that information is in the job description. Keyword searches will look in all posting titles and descriptions and return matches accordingly.

How to Apply for Jobs

External Candidates

First, be sure to review the job description thoroughly for any application instructions specific to the job (e.g. some positions may require additional documentation, or ask you to submit via mail or email instead of applying online).

To apply online, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Click the "Apply Now" button found on the Job Description Page
    • If you are not already logged in, the system will prompt you to do so.
    • If you have not previously registered on our site, click either the "click here to Register" or "Register Now" link (see above for Registration instructions)
  2. Choose one of the Application Options and click "Continue"
  3. To apply using the "Copy and paste resume text" Option
    • Choose an appropriate title for your application (e.g. Application for Job #12345)
    • This screen will allow you to copy and paste BOTH your Cover Letter and Resume. If you have them saved as separate documents, combine them into one "application" using MS Word, etc., copy the entire application into the "Resume" box and click "Continue"
    • Add any additional information you desire on the "Complete Application" page. NOTE: If you have included all information in your Resume, you may skip this step.
      • For "Education History", you may enter your school on the free-form text box labeled "Other"
      • For "Licenses and Certifications", you may skip this step UNLESS you are applying for a Nursing opening.
    • Click "Submit" to complete your application and get your information to our recruiting staff.
      • Use the "Save" button to capture your work and return to complete your application at a later time.
      • Select "Close Application" to abandon this application without saving it.
  4. To apply using an existing resume
    • Choose the appropriate saved resume from the drop down box that appears
      • NOTE: You will NOT be able to edit your resume text. If you have included a cover letter with a previously saved resume you will NOT be able to customize it for this application. We recommend using this option ONLY if your saved resume does not include a cover letter OR if the cover letter is "generic" in nature
  5. To apply without using a resume
    • Add ALL relevant information on the "Complete Application" page.

Don't forget, you must use the "Submit" button to complete your application and get your information to our recruiting staff. If you select "Close Application" no information will be saved. Use the "Save" button to capture your work and return to complete your application at a later time.

On-Campus Employees

As a current employee of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center or the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, we recommend that you apply directly to the recruiter, rather than applying online. When viewing jobs through the internal candidate site (via Employee Self Service), you will find job announcements created specially for employee viewing, which list the recruiter's name and contact information in the "How to Apply" section.

To view job postings internally log in to Employee Self Service and click on "Careers".
